February 11, 2015 Luncheon

Registration is now open for the FPA WNY February 11 Educational Luncheon.  Our guest speaker is Jean Dailey CPA, CPC, QPA, QKA, QPFC, TGPC, ERPA; She is the Manager of Retirement Plans and ERISA Consulting.

'Get Audit Ready – Adequate Proactive Preparation Could Save You' is the title of the presentation. And it is designed to educate financial professionals on the audit trend and prepare them to assist their clients in being proactively prepared for an audit.  Areas addressed include:

  • The auditing agencies (IRS/DOL)
  • Audit triggers
  • Typical audit areas
  • Why to conduct a “pre-audit”
  • Difference from the CPA audit function
  • Correction Programs at the IRS and DOL
  • What a “pre-audit” should cover
  • How best to be prepared

By gaining an improved understanding of the audit environment, professional financial advisors will be better able to assist retirement plan sponsors as a consultative partner in plan management. This information will enhance the ability of financial representatives to guide retirement plan sponsors with their fiduciary duties to the plan.

In order to start on time and give you an opportunity to network as well as enjoy lunch, we will start the buffet at 11:20 AM at Protocol Restaurant, 6766 Transit Road, Williamsville.  The program starts at NOON and ends by 1:30 PM.

This program is open to FPA WNY members and first-time guests (prospective members) with a $25 charge for non-members, paid by cash or check at the door.

This program will be eligible for one hour of CFP Board Continuing Education credit (applied for) NYS INS (applied for) and CPA CPE credit
