For Wednesday, December 17, 2014 our educational luncheon and Annual Meeting? At this event we will hold our yearly voting of Board Members and the educational portion features a panel of 3 healthcare professionals including Cheryl Wasson, director of Beechwood Continuing Care who will be the moderator for this focus on extended care crisis management.
The panelists include two from Beechwood: Sheryl Neal the Director of Social Work and Libby Bunger, the Director of Admissions as well as the President of Geriatric Care Managers of WNY Bev Kubala. They will cover a variety of topics to inform and assist professional partners in assisting their clients prepare for the challenges that seniors and their families face in regard to the complicated world of healthcare. Topics include the importance of the necessary family conversations, the MOLST form and strategies dealing with declining health, hospitalization, long term care options, as well as the family dynamics that may occur during this stressful time.
In order to start on time and give you an opportunity to network as well as enjoy lunch, we will start the buffet at 11:20 AM at Beechwood Continuing Care, 2235 Millersport Highway, Getzville, NY 14068. PLEASE NOTE PROGRAM LOCATION CHANGE. As always the program starts at NOON and ends by 1:30 PM.
At this meeting President Peter Hafner will also take some time to conduct the Annual Meeting. This will include voting for the Board of Directors whose terms have expired and have agreed to continue to serve, a financial report and a review of our programs from the Program Committee.
This program is open to FPA WNY members and first-time guests (prospective members) with a $25 charge for non-members, paid by cash or check at the door.
This program is eligible for one hour of CFP Board Continuing Education credit (applied for) and CPA CPE credit
